MS Pushing for Touch Screen Technology

Last week I saw an article regarding Microsoft's push for touch screen technology, especially in laptops. They predict touch screen will be more widely used and necessary especially as cell phones and mobile internet devices continue to grow for general use purposes.

I can't find the article online that I saw in a technology newspaper; however, this is the gist.

Two things software developers will need to master in order to stay competitive.

1) Windows Presentation Foundation

2) User Interface Design

Apparently, .NET 4.0 will provide touch screen capibilities in both WPF and Silverlight 4.

What's New in WPF Version 4 (Touch and Manipulation):

Sounds very interesting...it looks as if I'll find a way to learn both WPF and Silverlight.

Hope this helps someone out there, too.
