Mihaly International Schedule Tracking System
This project was extremely enjoyable. As the project manager, systems designer, and software engineer, it was designed and built by me in 6 months.
Goals Achieved:
- Built a reliable schedule tracking system that will keep track of approximately 200 mailings per year, with the ability to handle larger volumes as new clients are solicited.
- New system consists of both back-end and front-end databases to optimize performance caused by network traffic.
- The back-end database is engineered to accommodate multi-users via the existing local area network.
- The front-end user interface consists of one data entry form and numerous reports. All existing paper reports will be replaced by this new system (although paper versions can easily be generated.)
- All reports generated by the new system will contain an “as of date” field and can be easily exported into PDF format for emailing to internal/external users (e.g., writers, clients).
- Installation CD-ROMs have been created, consisting of setup files for easy deployment.
- Utilized existing Microsoft Windows XP, Access 2003 environment.
