Avi to DVD Converter

Roku Private Channels
So, here are
two lists of Roku channels that I use.

add private Roku channels, you must first sign up with a Roku account on
roku.com and link your account to your Roku player. Then you go to Add Private
Channel and enter the channels code. The channel automatically shows up in your
Roku.

Pharmaceuticals not really interested in finding a cancer cure?
I received an email today about cancer that led me to see why there are people who say the cancer industry is big business and is in no way interested in finding a cure.
This article mentions atleast 2 cures for cancer have been found since 1981. What led me to investigate the annual cost of cancer was Dr. Howenstine's statement:
"The cancer cartel has no interest in curing cancer because chemotherapy drugs are an enormously profitable product for the pharmaceutical industry. An important clue proving that there is no sincere interest in curing cancer is provided by the fact that only .5% (one half of one percent) of the dollars spent on cancer research is spent on research directed at stopping the spread[2] of cancer (metastases). When a cancer fails to spread the patient can live many comfortable years in an uneventful manner."

So then I found this total cancer cost in 2010:
"The National Institutes of Health estimated the overall costs of cancer in 2010 at $263.8 billion. Prices for drugs for rare cancers can be very high – Folotyn, approved in 2009 for patients with relapsed or refractory peripheral T-cell lymphoma, sells for $30,000 a month. Joshua Schimmer, an analyst at Leerink Swann, estimated that annual sales of the drug will reach $300 million by 2014."

So, then I researched Folotyn and found a CBS article on its lack of research that proves it works:
"With the runaway cost of healthcare under intense debate, critics complain that the price being charged by Allos for treatment with Folotyn (pralatrexate) is excessive -- especially since clinical benefit, such as improvement in progression-free survival or prolonging life, has not been demonstrated."
